Favourite Lush Products Winter

I have many favourite products from lush every year, some of the old classics and some brand new ones brought in for different occasions. If anyone doesn't know what the shop LUSH is it is a shop that sells bath bombs, bubble bars, soaps and different face and body cosmetics. The shop fights against animal testing, all products are homemade, are all 100% vegetarian and are fresh ingredients. These are my favourites from over Christmas and the winter holidays.

Frozen
Someone on the website has said "As soon as you put this in your bath its mesmerising; fizzing your bath into a beautiful glittery turquoise blue result with a gorgeous fragrance. I will definitely be repurchasing " and gave it 4 stars.

Sakura

The website states it is a  celebration of spring, bursting into a floral fragrance. Inspired by the cherry blossom in Japan, this pretty bomb is designed to evoke the burst of optimism the first sign of spring brings. Calming mimosa and jasmine oils are complemented by lemon oil and orange flower to bring to mind the smell of this colourful season.

Fizzbanger

On the website it describes it as A Catherine wheel of a bath bomb. It changes colour as it fizzes, crackling with popping candy as it goes and releasing first a citrussy apple and then a cinnamon, apple pie like scent with a hint of ylang ylang. Petitgrain is used in aromatherapy to calm the breathing, slow the heartbeat and reduce feelings of anxiety. Ylang ylang produces a feeling of joy, and cinnamon leaf oil helps you let go.

Sex Bomb

Sex Bomb

Again it said on the website from a review "I fell in love with this Sex Bomb Bath Bomb. When I dropped this beauty in the tub, I enjoyed the color blend show & as it fizzed, a relaxing & refreshing floral smell surfaced to fill the bathroom. I felt like princess taking this bath. My skin was being nourished & moisturized. The scent was absolutely LOVELY & it lasted long after my bath".

Dream Concerts

*These are not my images

I love going to concerts with my friends and family and over time I have went to go see some of my favourite artists (at the time). It is a great way to laugh and have fun with friends and even family who like the same artists as you. I am going to Glastonbury in June with my family so fingers crossed I may be able to see some of these. These are some of my favourite artists that I would love to go see in concert and have for a while now. There are many more but if included them my list would go on and on.

Ben Howard is one of my all time favourite artists and I can only image how good he would be live but I love his listening to his live music. He may be one of the singers that will play at Glastonbury.

Nina Nesbitt is my next singer that I would love to see in concert. Me and my friend tried to get tickets yesterday on the pre-sale but we didn't get any so we are going to try tomorrow. I love her new album and all of the songs on it so I have been listening to it on repeat.

SOAK is a band that I found out about last year at Glastonbury and have had her on repeat ever since that day. The lead singer is only young but I would love to see her on stage singing her own songs with her band.

Florence and The Machine is a band I have already seen I think about a few years ago but she was amazing both vocals and show. I've always wanted to go see her again because she was so good but have never had a chance to yet.

Pancake Day

*These are not my images and the whole recipe is from Zoe Sugg's Blog

How To Make Pancakes

The recipe for these pancakes are from zoella's blog and I thought because it's pancake day tomorrow I wanted to show an alternate recipe from the classic pancakes.

    You will need...

  • 6 Large Free Range Eggs
  • 230g Plain Flour
  • 2 Heaped Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 280ml Milk
  • 2 Pinches Salt
Separate the egg whites from the yolks and place in separate bowls. Whisk egg whites with salt until it has formed stiff peaks (use a hand mixer to save time and your arms). In the other bowl, add sifted flour to egg yolks, followed by baking powder and milk. Beat together until mixed well. Fold the egg white mixture into this bowl, being careful not to lose too much air so it stays fluffy and whipped. Using a ladle, spoon the mixture into a non-stick frying pan on a medium to low heat (too hot and the pancakes won't cook properly throughout and will burn in places). I don't use butter or oil, I just make sure my pan is pancake friendly so it won't stick. After a couple of minutes if you notice little bubbles popping to the surface, it's about time to flip the pancake. I use a plastic spatula and make sure the pancake has loosened from the pan before flipping. The pancakes should be an even golden colour. I normally place them in a stack on a plate before getting creative with fillings and toppings!

Top Dream Schools

*these are not my images

My dream is to go travelling around the world singing my own songs and I think to really to do that I need to go to a good music school so I can start early and because I know what I want to do when I grow up I want to do it as soon as I can. These are in order...

1) BRIT School

This is a school that is in Croyden in London and is where lots of famous musicians such as Adele and Amy Winehouse went. You can go when you are 14(year 10) and do your GCSE's or you can go and do your A levels there when you are 16+. There is many courses to do such as drama ,dance and theatre arts but if I went I would do music.

2) Julliard

After BRIT school I would really, really like to go to Julliard school in New York to play piano professionally and if I get good scores that is how I would hopefully get in there. Its also my dream to live in America so this would be perfect. I have seen it in movies and it seems to be amazing and so much fun.

I feel like these are the main schools I dream about going to and would love to go.

How To Make Carrot Cake

*These images are not mine and the recipe isn't either

Carrot Cake

This carrot cake is from Mary Berry's Baking Bible and (as it says in the book) this cake sounds much healthier than it actually is. This cake is ,I think, quite easy to make and tastes really good at the end.

225g (8 oz) self-raising flour   1 Pre-heat the oven to 180C/Fan 160C /Gas 4. Grease
2 level teaspoons baking            a 20cm (8in) deep round cake tin and line the base with
             powder                          baking parchment.
150g (5oz) light muscovado
sugar                            2 Measure all the ingredients for the cake into a large bowl
50g (2oz) chopped walnuts       and beat well until thoroughly blended and smooth. Turn into
100g (4oz) grated carrots          the prepared tin and level the surface.
2 ripe bananas, mashed
2 large eggs                              3 Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 50-60 minutes until
150 ml(5 fl oz)sunflower oil     the cake is well risen and shrinking away from the sides of the
tin. Leave to cool in the tin for a few minuets then turn out, peel
off the parchment and finish cooling on a wire rack.
FOR TOPPING
175g(6 oz)full-fat soft cheese   4 For the topping, measure all the ingredients, except the walnuts,
50g (2oz) softened butter           into a bowl or into a food processor, and blitz until smooth.
100g(4 oz) sifted icing sugar     Spread over the top of the cake, swirling the top with a
a few drops of vanilla extract    spatula for a decorative effect. Decorate the top with the
walnut halves, to decorate         walnut halves. Chill a little before serving, and store in the fridge
                                                   as the topping is soft.

Whats In My Make-up Bag

*these are not my photos

The Urban Decay Naked 3 pallet which has very natural colours in and last a long time both on and last many wears. I personally like to wear the lighter colours on a daily basis so my eyes look natural.

The Benefit Big Easy BB cream that lasts all day with cover but not as heavy as foundation and still leaves colour on your face. This cream has SPF 35 and is a liquid when you apply it but then turns to powder on your skin so it blends into your complexion like cream but finishes lightweight and smooth like a powder.

This mascara from MAC is called False Lashes and I love it because it gives your eyelashes a lot of volume and makes them look a lot longer than they are. My Cousin got me this from New York in October and I have used it nearly everyday since then.

I love this concealer and I am constantly going back to it because it has very good coverage for spots of redness. It also goes really well with the BB cream and it can last a long time depending on how much you use it.

I only own 2 of these lip balms from benefit which are the benebalm and the posiebalm which I got in a set with the lip tints as well. On a cold day these can really help dry lips but still add a bit of colour to them.

Soap and Glory's sexy mother pucker is a lip gloss that can last a long time both again on and can be used on many wears. You can get them in different colours and mine is nearly similar to the image but a bit darker.
